Beach Trip 2009

We headed down to visit Meredith's family in Charleston, SC on July 18th. The kids love the beach. We spent 3 days at the beach. Luke loves going in the "big ocean". Abby and Luke both found tons of star fish. We took them home and dried them out. We have 10 starfish!!! They loved playing in the tidal pools. The entire time they were trying to catch fish. On Monday, we went the Charleston Aquarium. Abby loved the penguins and the the sea otters. Luke touched a stingray (Abby refused!)!! After the aquarium we headed to the local water park. The kids had a great time going down all of the slides. Abby loved the fact that she could go down the big slide by herself. That made her day. Thanks Meredith for a great time!

Spring Break 2009

This week was Spring Break...so we headed to Grandma's house. On Monday, we went to a HUGE indoor park. Luke and Abby Loved climbing to the very top of the park. It was as tall as the top of the mall. We had so much fun sliding down the 3 slides. They went really fast! We even got a slurpee and pizza (and fried rice for Luke) for lunch! We can't wait to go back!

Fairytale Parade

Abby loved having the Fairytale Parade at school. Her favorite part was walking down the hallway for all the parents. She loved being Belle and loved that her teacher dressed up as Snow White!!! Kids were dressed up as Junie B. Jones, Mary Poppins, and Cinderella. This is something only the First Graders get to do....so it was very exciting!

Luke is one FUNNY boy!

One of the reasons my sisters wanted me to start a blog is because Luke is always saying something funny and I never remember to write them down. I hope with a blog I will be better at keeping track of the memories.

So this morning Luke and I were snuggling (his favorite thing to do in the morning and right before we go to bed) and he said....

Luke: Oh, Mommy. I just love you a whole dollar!

Mommy: Oh, a whole dollar! That is a lot!

Luke: Yeah!

Later in the conversation:

Luke: Oh, mommy! I'm going to make you my pretty princess!

Mommy: Oh Luke....you're my PRINCE!

Luke: Well.....actually I'm a Knight!

Luke: When I get bigger....will you marry me?

He is always saying the cutest things. He is the sweetest little boy....most of the time!

First Santa Pics....EVER for Abby

So Christmas 2008 marked a new first! Abby sat on Santa's lap for the first time! I guess she must have really wanted that Nintendo DS! Luke on the other hand has always loved Santa. He has no problem with Santa! He asked Santa for EVERYTHING he saw. (from every trip to Walmart to every commercial on TV!).

Sisters....ugh

My sisters have finally convinced me to start this whole blog thing. So I am hoping to keep a record of the kids and to be able to figure it out on my own. We'll see how this goes!
